Each year, WEMM partners with a local not for profit organization in our listening area to help promote awareness to their organization and to let listeners know about their organization and what they stand for with the purpose of gaining positive community awareness and exposure for that organization.
In 2013, we have selected Lambs Gate Market of Huntington. Lamb’s Gate Market was born out of a desire to help our friends at Remar Orphanage in Nicaragua. We focus our net proceeds entirely on Remar Nicaragua, which cares for about 80 children.
Your purchases at the store help provide education, English instruction, and even physical repairs to the orphanage facilities, just to name a few of the benefits. Every item sold at Lamb’s Gate Market, from coffee to jewelry to handcrafted décor, is fair trade. This means artisans and farmers in developing countries are paid a fair wage for their work so that they may provide not only for their families, but also for their own community’s development.
We would like to thank our Integrity Business Partner, Todd Dudley of Raymond James of Barboursville for being a partner of our 2013 Outreach Partnership.
