Laddie Smith is from Wayne County, WV and now lives in Proctorville, Ohio, near the Ohio River. He comes from a family of 6 children, and grew up a minister’s son. His interests are wide ranging, including reading, gardening, movies, hiking, travel, and swimming. He has a special love for songwriting and plays guitar and keyboard.
Laddie accepted Christ at age 6 and, like many, has taken many a detour in life only to discover that the best place to end up was at the faith of his childhood. Since God wastes nothing, even the detours now serves as part of the background for ministry and following Christ in his daily life. Now in his 50′s, Laddie has 9 grandchildren and is an elder in his local church. He also plays with the worship team, manages the soundboard as needed, preaches and teaches God’s Word.
WEMM and Laddie’s present position of Program Director/Music Director represent simply one more facet of his calling to minister from a pastor’s heart. He regards his work at WEMM as an assignment from the Lord Jesus in facilitating the blessing of God’s people, and the reaching the lost for Christ.
